Welcome to Vocal Point LLC

Your gateway to an exciting communication journey!

Founded by Andrea “Andi” Gurba, a passionate and experienced ASHA-certified and NJ-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Vocal Point is rooted in a deep commitment to helping individuals find their voices and thrive. With over 16 years of experience in the field, Andi brings warmth, expertise, and dedication to every client and family she works with.

Andi holds a Bachelor of Science from Stockton University and a Master of Science from Nova Southeastern University. Her clinical background is enriched by specialized training in PROMPT, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). She also brings extensive knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Applied Behavior Analysis into her therapy sessions. This diverse skill set allows her to support a wide range of communication challenges, including articulation, fluency, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, expressive and receptive language disorders, dyslexia, and more.

While Andi has worked with individuals across the lifespan, her greatest passion lies in supporting young children. Much of her professional journey has been spent in self-contained and integrated preschool classrooms, as well as with elementary-aged students. She finds immense fulfillment in guiding children through their communication breakthroughs — especially those using AAC tools and devices. One of her most rewarding roles is helping families navigate funding and training for these devices, making sure every child has access to the tools they need to express themselves.

For Andi, AAC is not just a professional specialty — it’s a personal mission. Seeing a child light up when they realize they can communicate is a powerful and unforgettable experience that fuels her work every day.

Outside of her practice, Andi is a proud wife and mom. She and her family enjoy swimming, snowboarding, playing Uno, and cozy movie nights. These shared experiences remind her of the vital role communication plays in building connection and joy. In her personal time, she also loves cooking, staying active, reading, and tuning into speech-language podcasts to stay sharp and inspired.

At Vocal Point, we believe communication is for everyone — and we know it can be a challenge at times. That’s why Andi is deeply committed to providing family-centered support, equipping parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need to support their learners at home. Together, we can navigate the ups and downs of the communication journey and celebrate every milestone along the way.

Recently, Andi embarked on an incredible journey to explore research based techniques to support public speakers. Whether the CEO of a company, college student, or someone who aspires to feel more comfortable and confident speaking in front of others, my approach will support a speaker’s ability to make an impact on their audience.

Thank you for considering Vocal Point as a partner in your communication journey. We can’t wait to work with you — one step, one word, and one success at a time.
